  • I made a misteak on the video. I forgot to mention the 2 Phillips head screws on either side of the Cowl top. You have to give them 1/2 turn to unlock them to allow the top of the cowl to be removed. that’s in addition to the Torx screws.
    To get the plugs out, i used a regular 5/8 in spark plug socket tool and sometimes a 3 in extension on the ratchet and sometimes two 3 inch extensions.
    ok. I got sidetracked on the bathroom project. The wife said the minivan was running craptastically. Here I perform the plugs and wires and PCV service. Had to take the wiper motor assembly off the car. I show the reverse, of how to put it back together. Plugs gapped at .050. Use the sticker under the hood for the info.
    BTW I might have made a mistake on the 14 mm nuts bolts. They might be 13 mm. I have a hard time seeing the numbers on the sockets.Just so you know.It’s ether one or the other. The hardest part was getting one plug that started out loose, but halfway out it got stuck. I used some spray lube with teflon on the threads and worked it back and forth to ease it out. Anti seize compound seems controversial to use. So I didn’t use it. The plug got stuck due to carbon from combustion gasses seizing up the threads. If the plug is correctly torqued, then you shouldn’t have any seizing problems. If you don’t have a torque wrench, which I HIGHLY recommend, then adhere to the tightening instructions that come with the spark plugs. I checked all the gaps on the new Champion OEM plugs and they all were good out of the box. Most new spark plugs are pre-gapped now from the factory, but I like to check them anyway. It only takes 2 seconds per plug to check the gap..
    Another hard point was putting the drain tubes back on the wiper assembly cowl deck. You angle the deck forward, then slip the drain tubes on to each side of the cowl’s deck.
    Also please use a battery terminal puller (or equivalent) to remove the wiper arms from the splined shafts. Good luck to all who have to do this. It’s not hard, just time consuming.
    I give the part numbers for the drivers side wiper arm nut cap and for the PCV molded hose. the PCV hose is tricky to find the part number, so I made sure I provided it for all my youtube friends.
